What is your role here at Sonoma State?
I work in the Facilities Management Deptartment at SSU. I spent 4 years in the Paint Shop and have worked out of the Maintenance (Carpenter) Shop for 8 years.
How do you use the library?
I have a cottage-industry music career on the side, and have used the Library extensively in digging up material for the "bits" that I incorporate into my performances. Over the years, that has included looking into the Salem witch trials, the Hindu Vedas, the Koran, Southwest Indian history, the Latin-English dictionary, the writings of Zbigniew Brzezinski, Gerald Haslam, Bubba Free John, and my all-time fave, "Madame Blavatsky's Baboon"-(Third Floor Stacks). I also score free movies and enjoy cryptic repartee with many esteemed colleagues who work in the building.
What is your best library memory?
I have many fond "library memories", but among the fondest are my memories of the old "Schulz Unplugged" series where campus musicians and singers would perform late Friday afternoons. Very civilised. Hecka chill.
