Rachel Maddow
I am a liberal, I’m not partisan, not a Democratic Party Hack. I’m not trying to advance anybody’s agenda."
Famed today as a fierce and to-the-point political analyst, Rachel Maddow is the host of her own show on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show. Her show has been the network’s most successful show to date.
Maddow was born in the Castro Valley, California on April 1, 1973. As a child of an attorney father and school administrator mother, she showed much interest in journalism as soon as seven years old. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Stanford University and achieved her doctorate in political science from Oxford University.
She became a host on Air America Radio where she began to gain national prominence. In January of 2008, the critically acclaimed Maddow was named MSNBC’s political analyst where she continues to tackle the biggest stories of the day with in-depth and challenging analyses.
