LibQUAL+ : Library Service Quality Survey
In Spring 2007, the University Library participated for the second time in the Association of Research Libraries’ (ARL)
assessment program called LibQUAL+. At the heart of this assessment program is a survey instrument that seeks to determine library users’ desired and minimum levels of service quality in various areas and compare these levels to how users’ rate the service they currently receive.
The gaps between the ratings in the desired, minimum and current levels of service help the University Library identify areas that are most important to each group of users and to determine areas that need improvement.
