1. From the Library's homepage (http://libweb.sonoma.edu) look at the Library Collections page.
a. Which link would you choose to find a book in this library?
b. Which link would you choose to find periodical articles?
c. Which link would you choose to order periodical articles or books from another library?

2. From the library's homepage, click on the Internet Resources page. Click on Reference Resources. Scroll down and click either the Internet link or the zines link.

b. What do you find on this page?
c. Select one of the links and describe what you find. Include the name of the page and the URL.
3. Go back to the Internet Resources page. Click on Resources by Subject.
a. List one of the links that might be appropriate for your topic.
b. Link to that page and describe what you find. Follow any links through that might be useful and include any URL.
4. Go to the library's homepage. Look for the Internet Search Tools link and click on it. Choose Yahoo!
a. From the categories listed on the Yahoo page, choose one that might be appropriate for your topic. Which category did you choose?
b. Click on that choice, follow the link through and very specifically describe what you find. Include any useful URL.
5. Go back to Internet Search Tools. Choose Hot Bot.
a. Search for webpages in English that have the terms Jesus Seminar in the Title. How many did you find?
b. Describe the kind of information this retrieved?
6. Choose any search engine and try a search on your topic.

b. What search terms and/or limits did you use?
c. How many hits did you get?
d. Choose one webpage and describe it. Include the URL.
e. How does this page differ from a scholarly journal article?

8. Extra Credit - 5 pts.
Do a comparison of the following two Internet training sites. Comment on page navigation (moving around, finding your way about); how easy the "lessons" are; how long it took to complete, if you actually went through the whole thing, or how much time you spent on the page; if you didn't go through the entire tutorial, what parts did you looked at and why; what was the most important thing you learned; what would you tell them to change; overall was the tutorial useful; which one would you recommend over the other; etc. Do not limit yourself to just these questions, add whatever additional comments you think might be useful in comparing these two sites.
