Community & Other Off-Campus Borrowers
Eligibility & Cost
Local residents and other off-campus borrowers may borrow library materials by becoming a Community Borrower. Some restrictions may apply. Students enrolled at other CSU campus with proof of current registration have the same borrowing privileges as SSU students but must use their home campus databases and interlibrary services remote access.

| SSU or other CSU Alumni Association members | No charge. Must have current SSU or other CSU Alumni Association membership card. |
| Santa Rosa Junior College students and faculty | No charge. Must have proof of current registration. |
| Cotati/Rohnert Park Unified School District employees | No charge. Must have proof of employment or roster. |
| Sonoma County Office of Education Employees | No charge. Must have proof of employment or roster. |
| California State University emeritus and retirees |

| Volunteers | No charge. Must have current volunteer form on file. |
Age
- Community Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older and not enrolled in high school.
- Parents or guardians of local school students may purchase a Community Borrower card in their own name and sign a permission form allowing their children to use the card.
- The parent or guardian takes full responsibility for any library fines and book bills incurred by their children/wards.
Privileges
- Ten items checked out at any one time.
- Loan period:
- Books - 28 days (may renew books once online)
- CDs, audiocassettes, phonos - 1 week
- DVDs, videos - 3 days
- Limited use of Reserve materials. *
- Use of videos, DVDs, CDs, phonos and audiocassettes from the Multimedia Center. *
- Use of study rooms. *
- Access to databases while in the Library.
- Access to My Library Record in order to place holds and renew items online.
- Privileges may be revoked if borrower fails to comply with the policy.
* Priority use for SSU students, faculty and staff.
Community Borrowers are not eligible for the following:
- Interlibrary Services, LINK+.
- Remote access to databases (other than Snoopy Library Catalog) due to licensing restrictions.
