Digital Lab
Located inside The Learning Center on the 2nd floor of the University Library, this lab offers nine stations available for page layout, image-editing, photo-retouching, web design, and web graphics solutions.
Equipment & Software
- All stations burn CDs, have attached flatbed scanners, and all printers include both greyscale and color options. User guide.
- Each station has different software available, including; Photoshop Elements , InDesign, Microsoft Suite (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel), Omnipage Pro, BBEdit, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash.
- Printing costs 10ยข/page for black & white and $1/page for color.
The lab also features:
- Three iMovie stations with iMovie HD and iDVD 5 for burning final projects to DVD. More about video digitizing with iMovie.
- One workstation includes GarageBand, a program that is used to compose music through a MIDI keyboard for customized soundtracks for iMovie projects or burning to CDs.
The Digital Lab is for individual use and is not available to classes.
- Faculty who wish to use a lab for their classes should check the IT Computer Labs webpage and submit an IT Computer Lab Scheduling Request.
Digital Lab Assistance & Workshops
- The lab offers on-site help for simple projects.
- For more in-depth technical solutions appointments can be scheduled. We strongly recommend that you phone (707-664-4455) or email Tim Hensel, the Digital Lab Manager, and make an appointment with him. Please notify Tim if you will be late for an appointment.
