Video Digitizing with iMovie

iMovie's intuitive tools let you transfer video clips to and from your digital camcorder, edit and arrange them into storylines, enhance them with professional-looking transitions and animated onscreen titles, and even add music and visual effects. You can view your finished movies onscreen, publish them to the web, or save them back to your camcorder to record on a VHS tape or DVD to watch on your television.

Multimedia has two iMovie stations housed in Room 2014B. These are Macintosh G4s running OS X, able to burn both CD-Rs and DVD-Rs. The software on the iMovie stations include; iMovie, iDVD, iTunes and Quicktime Pro. iMovie stations are available by appointment. Please go to the Library Technology Services Desk to reserve a maximum 4-hour timeslot. Patrons without an appointment risk being ejected. Late arrivals subject to appointment cancellation.

Assistance is available for the iMovie workstations by appointment only. Use our webform or phone (707-664-4455) Tim Hensel, the Digital Lab Manager, to make an appointment.

We are no longer able to offer on-call iMovie assistance.
