Printing from the Print Release Stations

To send your print job:
- Print your document normally from the application you are using.
- Select the printer (see examples 1 & 2). Color prints are picked up in the Multimedia Center on the second floor.

- Enter a name of your choosing to describe the print job (see examples 3 & 4).
- Enter your full name, e.g., Jane Patron. Use names that are unique (see examples 3 & 4).
- A print notification will appear showing the number of pages, the cost to print them, and the location of the Print Release Station where the document(s) can be picked up (see example 5 & 6).
- Go to the appropriate Print Release Station.

To release your print job:
There are currently six Print Release Stations controlling 8 printers in the Library, located in the following areas:
First Floor North- Information Commons- two black-and-white printers and 1 color printer

Third Floor North- Near Administration- one black-and-white printer

Second Floor North
- Reference Area- one black-and-white printer
- Room 2050 - - one black-and-white printer
Second Floor South
- Multimedia Center- one black-and-white printer.
- The Learning Center - one black-and-white printer and one color printer

- Once you have located the appropriate Print Release Station, move the mouse to exit the screensaver and move it again to show the print job queue.
- Choose the job(s) you wish to print by clicking on its name with the mouse. The names you filled in the two dialog boxes (one dialog box on a Windows machine) are used to identify your job.
- The system will let you know how much it will cost to print your document(s). Insert coins into the cash machine next to the Print Release Station. Change will be given for any amount not used. Currency includes nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollar denominations of $1.
- Click "Print" to send the selected jobs to the printer. Once these are successfully sent, the printer will produce the page(s) and change will be given if applicable.
- Click on "Log Off & Receive Change" button.
Note: If you have
jobs you do not wish to print, they will eventually be automatically
purged from the system after three hours.
If there is a problem with the print job, ask for help at the nearest public service desk. They will call tech support for you.
