These are not classrooms, counseling rooms or lecture spaces.

Study Rooms

  • 12 study rooms are located on the 3rd floor.
  • SSU students, staff & faculty only.
  • First-come, first-served; no reservations accepted. Key available for checkout at Information/Check-Out Desk.
  • 2 hour limit.
  • Wireless access is available. Network access is available in all rooms except 3010 and 3011. There are no computer workstations or projectors.
  • Keep doors closed and minimize noise while in this area. Leave rooms clean and return furniture to original configuration.

Group Viewing Rooms

  • 3 group viewing rooms are located on the 2nd floor. Group Viewing Rooms are for viewing DVDs, videocassettes and laserdiscs. If other equipment is needed schedule a Technology Classroom. : http://www.sonoma.edu/it/students/labs.html There are no computer workstations or projectors.
  • Priority to SSU students, faculty and staff.
  • First come, first served. Reservations accepted. Contact the Information/Check-Out Desk, 707-664-2375 or request a room. Key is required to access the room. Reservations held 15 minutes.
  • 4 hour limit, no more than 3 consecutive time slots reserved per class.
  • Leave rooms clean and return furniture to original configuration. Lock the door and return the key. Late keys are fined at $1.00/per hour, lost key charge is $250.

      • Seats 15-20
      • 30" TV, VCR, DVD player (compatible with VCD, CD, and DVD-R discs)
    • Group Viewing Room 2015A
      • Seats 15-20
      • 38" TV, VCR, DVD player (compatible with VCD, CD, and DVD-R discs)
    • Group Viewing Room 2015B
      • Seats 30
      • 65" Projection screen TV, DVD player (compatible with VCD, CD, and DVD-R discs)

Student Presentation Room

  • Student presentation room is located on the 2nd floor. Student Presentation Room is a practice room for in-class presentations. May also be used for formal student presentations including Master Thesis defenses.
  • SSU students only.
  • First come, first served. Reservations accepted. Contact the Information/Check-Out Desk, 707-664-2375 or request the Student Presentation Room. Key is required to access the room. Reservations held 15 minutes.

  • Leave room clean and return furniture to original configuration. Lock the door and return the key. Late keys are fined at $1.00/per hour, lost key charge is $250.
    • Room 2014B
      • Seats 12
      • 32" LCD TV display. Large conference table and whiteboard
      • Mac Mini computer workstation with keyboard and mouse. Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel. Complete List of software. Files should be saved on a portable storage device ( CD, DVD or flash drives), or sent to yourself via email. The Mac Mini will delete all files when rebooted. Wireless access is available.

Graduate Study Room

The Graduate Study Room is a space designated for SSU graduate students to study either individually or in small, quiet groups. The room features two large tables for group study. Soft seating for individual study and open shelving for temporary storage of research materials.

  • Room 3065
    • As part of the library, all policies regarding behavior apply to this space as well. If a graduate student or group is not respecting library policy you may point it out to them. If you are not comfortable doing so, please go to a service desk to report it.
    • Any library items that you wish to use must be checked out to you. Items not checked out will be returned to the library collection.
    • The library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Other Rooms

The library schedules only the group viewing rooms and the student presentation room. The campus meeting room 1121 is scheduled by Conference & Event Services (Faculty, Staff & Outside Groups 664-4091, Students 664-2475).
